Please note that we are operating on a reduced calendar for the 2025 season.
Winter is an amazing time to visit western Queensland; the days are cool and clear and the nights are cold enough to oblige hearty dinners around the old dining table and a glass of red in front of the open fire. Situated in a rambling country garden on the banks of T.U.Creek, our guests can relax and switch off and allow the calmness and serenity of the Australian bush to take over. There are wonderful walks along the creek for the birdwatchers, and the creek water is an ever-changing vista of reflections, flora and fauna. A million-star dinner on the Cavehill is a memorable experience and can be provided by prior arrangement. Sundowners are a must, let no sun go down without a toast to the western sky.
Moble Homestead is proud to offer the only fully hosted walking packages in the Grey Range, the watershed dividing the Bulloo River from the Lake Eyre basin. We are very excited about sharing this landscape with walkers, riders, photographers, artists and bird watchers alike. Join us for full-day guided walks ending with a hot shower and a night under the stars at Bannerman’s Waterhole, or a picnic lunch at a camp of the pioneering Durack, Costello & Tully families.
Please follow the links below to read more about our trekking and walking packages, or our upcoming masterclasses and workshops. There is an airstrip located close to the Homestead, so fly-in visitors are very welcome. Contact us today to create your tailored itinerary in this special corner of the Australian outback.
